Ever wonder how Chinese emerged here in Philippines? How it all started and understand why are there towns for Chinese today?

I’ve been longing to visit Bahay Tsinoy Museum before, but I got no one to go with and that makes it less exciting if there isn’t someone who goes with your interests.

My blog mate John Kenneth Go (Jonetzki) is pure Chinese, and speaks good Filipino which is a perfect example of being a "Tsinoy". It is good that you find someone that has the same interest when you go to museums.

John Kenneth Go as Jonetzki

Going back to our adventure. We weren’t bored as expected. As you enter, you will see photos in collage with the title, The Tsinoy, The Chinese Who Is Filipino: A Shared Destiny stating the evolution of Chinese who is Filipino or the Filipino who is Chinese molded through the years in culture, language, songs etc.

Artifacts like old vases were seen as we walk along the hallway with complete description of where it was from.

This ship was said to be used by Chinese with the method of Barter System or an old method of exchange which was used before money was invented.

You will be amazed by multiples of models like the making of silk of a Chinese as used for trading by the late 10th century,

A model of a wholesaler of imported goods as what is mentioned in the brochure given. It is the sari sari store during the earlier centuries.

the museum also had a film showing which can be translated into four languages. It wasn't long when we stayed here, It is cool to know that because of the Spanish harassment during the early centuries, Chinese build and started their own institutions such as hospitals, Churches and Schools!

Our School, Chiang Kai Shek College was also included in the history!

I cannot include more of the insides for you to feel thrilled even you have read my article. If you wanted to visit Bahay Tsinoy Museum, prepare 100 php for Adults and 60 php for students

Museum hours would be ;

Tuesday to Sundays

1:00 p.m. to 5:00 p.m.
